I can’t wait for the report in July. Therefore, we can see whether the impact of unemployment benefits on the number of employed people is not only marginal.
I believe that the additional unemployment benefits have not had a significant impact on the number of employed people (more than 200,000 people nationwide). I believe that wages, parenting/care issues, and reassessment of self-worth make a greater contribution to the individual’s decision not to work.
The four states that ended additional unemployment benefits early will give us a comparison in the July report.
