Sunreef Yachts has developed a thin and efficient Solar cell system It is installed completely flush with all surfaces of the ship, including the mast, the sides of the hull and the top of Bimini. The expected capacity of the system is 34 kWp of energy, which is stored in ultra-light lithium batteries until needed.
“We reinvented the solar panel yacht. Our team challenged the status quo of ocean photovoltaic technology and made solar panels an integral part of Sunreef Yachts’ ecological design. This is unique in the entire yachting industry,” said Francis Lapp, founder and president of Sunreef Yachts.
In addition to solar panels, yachts also generate energy in the following ways Wind TurbinesThis seems to be a natural addition, because wind is a natural by-product of moving in the water. Below the water surface, the ship generates additional energy through hydroelectric power generated by the rotating propeller, capable of generating more than 15 kilowatt-hours of electricity at a speed of about 7 knots.
All these systems work together to provide quiet navigation without range restrictions, because the energy used by the Sunreef 80 Eco’s thrusters and equipment is renewable during travel. These processes also generate enough energy to power water toys and tenders.Systems such as air conditioners, water generators and kitchen appliances that require electricity are designed as Energy efficient.
Sunreef 80 Eco is equipped with two electric motors, they do not produce any Pollution, Smoke or vibration, regardless of the travel distance. As one of the most energy-efficient luxury yachts on the planet, in addition to providing environmentally friendly and innocent sailing, the boat can also be fully customized, with endless interior and functional options. Sunreef Yachts takes its commitment to the planet seriously, and its interior decorations and hard finishes meet strict sustainability standards.
The company expects to fully release Sunreef 80 Eco this summer.
