I think that looking to the future, sitting down restaurants and FOH jobs may become more scarce, rather than higher pay. Food service will shift to ghost kitchens and automation. The fees people pay to take their orders and bring their food to them will be limited. It’s not that these people deserve less, but it’s just the economics of advanced societies. I hope they can find sustainable careers in other industries.
