Coronavirus cases in India today, live updates of India’s coronavirus stats: India recorded more than 14,300 cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the number of active cases in the country to 1,61,555. However, in the past 24 hours, the number of recoveries was less than the number of new cases – 13543. This is the second consecutive day that the number of recoveries in the country is less than the number of new cases. On Friday, India recorded 13,198 recoveries against 14,348 new cases. If this continues over the next two weeks, it may indicate a new wave of the epidemic in the country. However, as is currently the case, it is too early to say if this is a trend, or whether these are isolated cases. Cases over the past two days have also seen a decrease of about 3,000 cases compared to Thursday, which is another positive aspect to note.
Meanwhile, the vaccination campaign in India resulted in the administration of more than 105 crores of doses, over 72.89 crores being the first doses administered across the different groups. At the same time, states are also planning to improve their end-of-life vaccination campaigns. Madhya Pradesh has decided to launch a special vaccination program from 15th November, where the state government will hold vaccination as well as testing camps for public events. The aim of the campaign is to vaccinate the entire eligible population by the end of the year.
