A confrontation broke out between the Delhi Police and a wanted criminal in the high-profile Dwarka district of the national capital. The confrontation took place in Sector 23 of Dwarka last night. The criminal was wanted in a murder case.
Today, Delhi Police informed that the criminal was shot in retaliatory fire by the police during the confrontation and was taken to a local hospital. Police said he fled after killing the son of a policeman.
On his interception in Dwarka District – Sector 23 on the night of 15 October, Anil John shot the police three times. In self-defence, the police also fired three bullets that hit his knees.
Earlier this month, 29-year-old Takesh, the son of Delhi Police’s ASI Devendra, was murdered due to a financial problem. Police said two people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
Takesh had borrowed Rs 2,000 from Anita. John and Anita were teasing Takesh to pay the amount with great interest. Anita Takesh was taken to the home of John, who was shot dead, TAP reported.
Earlier this month, two criminals were injured after being shot in the legs during separate confrontations with Delhi Police in Dwarka and the outer Delhi district on October 5.
