Battrixx, a subsidiary of KabraExtrusiontechnik Limited (KET), has launched its smart dual-energy electric vehicle (EV) batteries. Dual Power Electric Vehicle Smart Batteries are portable, high-capacity 4 kWh interchangeable smart battery packs that are “highly reliable, safe and robust for Indian driving conditions,” according to Battrixx.

The package uses two 2 kWh smart battery packs in parallel or in series designed based on patented European technology, which has been licensed to Kabra Extrusiontechnik Limited. Thermal optimized packaging has the obvious advantage of long battery life and fast charging. The launched packs are water and dust resistant with an IP – 67 rating. Smart battery packs are also designed to withstand vibrations and shocks.

Speaking about the launch, Anand Kabra, Managing Director of Kabra Extrusiontechnik Limited said, “2 and 3 wheeler electric rickshaws are starting to gain momentum in India, especially in 2021. Our products aim to be technically advanced, highly safe and economically viable, which can To be quickly adopted by users. This particular product has the performance and reliability to provide the impetus for the next generation of e-mobility solutions in the country.”

“The smart battery can use Master-Slave or Master-Master technology with dual interconnected smart battery packs that are easy to switch. The modular and compact design is enabled by liquid cooling, and the gravitational energy density and volumetric energy density are found to be remarkably high. If the pack is cooled with natural air , the gravitational power would be 180 W/kg. An important advantage of dual power is that one package can be used to power the vehicle while at the same time, other alternatives can be used for charging at home. This negates customer concerns about charging time or waiting at charging stations.”
