Deepak will be responsible for the expansion and leadership of the school category from 4 to 10

Edtech BYJU’S Mukut Deepak has appointed a Chief Business Officer to lead the Schools Division from Grade 4 to 10. In his new position, Deepak will be responsible for expanding and leading the sector. He will work closely with the Product, Marketing and Sales teams to forecast, build and propose strategies for fourth to 10th grade growth in schools. He will report to Mr. Mrinal Mohit, Chief Operating Officer of BYJU’S.

Deepak has over two decades of experience in diverse sectors. He has worked to build a modern digital business. Furthermore, he has experience in entrepreneurship, sales, strategy and service excellence. Recently, he was a Director of Business Development at Tata Sky Limited and a Director of Tata Sky’s Digital venture.

“Mukut’s strong experience in business development for various companies will help expand BYJU’s brand offerings for categories 4 to 10. We are confident that under his able leadership, the business will further enhance and we look forward to providing all the support in his journey with us,” said Praveen. Deepak has spent nearly a decade in management consulting through the Boston Consulting Group and Bain & Company. During his tenures, he has worked with CEOs and Board members across a range of topics. He started his career in Sales and Marketing Department of Unilever (India).
