Lok Sabha Chairman and Member of Parliament from Kota, Om Birla on Friday called IIT Advanced Chairman, Mridul Agarwal and congratulated him on his success, according to the Lok Sabha Chief’s office.

Mridol hails from Jaipur and has prepared for the exam from the Kota Training Institute.

Taking to Twitter, the President of LS said, “Congratulations Mridul Agrawal, Son of Rajasthan on getting 1st rank in IIT-JEE (Adv) Examination. This success is the result of his tireless hard work, the prayers of parents and dedication of teachers and with this result the Kota Circuit Training Institutes proved Parliamentarian once again surpassed her, congratulations!”

Interacting with JEE topper, Birla asked him about his future plans, of which Agrawal revealed that he aspires to do BTech from IIT Bombay and wants to be a participant in ‘Navanirman’ in India.

The president also said that he wants to study abroad and return to India to develop the country’s technology sector.

Earlier, the National Examinations Agency (NTA) on Friday announced the results of the 2021 Joint Advanced Entrance Examination (JEE).

Mridul Agarwal from IIT Delhi ranked first with a score of 348 out of 360 while Kavya Chopra from IIT Delhi ranked first in the female category with a Combined Rank List (CRL) 98. She got a score of 286 out of 360.

The NTA has released the JEE results on the official website.

A total of 1,41,699 candidates appeared in both Papers 1 and 2 in JEE (Advanced) 2021 and 41,862 eligible candidates appeared in JEE (Advanced) 2021.
