Marking its entry into the high potential space of virtual learning, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), a technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing and services group, has announced the launch of L&T EduTech – a new industry-driven, application-driven, action-oriented learning platform, firmly rooted in Technology, which will span the entire gamut of engineering and technology pillars to help create industry-ready talent.
AM Naik, Group Chairman, Larsen & Toubro said, “We have a strong demographic dividend but to translate this potential into performance, it is imperative that we pass on relevant skills to our youth, making them more productive, and better prepared to contribute to India’s growth story.”
L&T EduTech aims to protect future L&T business and bridge the gap that exists today between the competence of young engineers and the expectations of the industry. L&T EduTech will guide L&T’s store of knowledge and experience gained by executing some of the most complex projects over the decades to empower both students and professionals with real-world professional skills to enhance their employability.
L&T EduTech offers three sectors of College Connect, Professional and Professional Skills backed by robust assessment and certification processes. While College Connect will empower students through hands-on and application-based learning, professional skills will enable aspiring professionals to fast-track careers in their fields. Occupational Skills includes skills certification programs designed by industry experts to improve employability. A rigorous process of learning, skill, assessment, accreditation and engagement, and a panel of subject matter experts from industry, academia, and within L&T are set up to add a new dimension to platform-based learning and skills.
“With the increasing focus on online learning and skills, we have well timed the introduction of L&T EduTech,” emphasized R Ganesan, Head of Corporate Center, L&T Construction. “We are entering a field that necessarily requires professional skills and we are confident that students and professionals will benefit greatly from our structured courses.”
