World Boxing Championship: In a historic feat, the 13-year-old Gathering Islam won the gold medal in the World Kickboxing Championships. This is the second time that a girl from Kashmir has achieved this feat. The tournament was held in Cairo, Egypt. Before that, she had won the title in 2016. She is a resident of Bandipura district in Kashmir and has been practicing kickboxing since she was six years old. The girl also shared her achievement in a tweet on Twitter on Thursday. After her victory, the Deputy Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha congratulated her on the achievement.

In a tweet on Twitter, he wrote that she has done well in the field over the past few years, and added that her journey of “amazing passion and unparalleled determination” will be an inspiration to many young people across the country.
