An official said a shipment of 1,150 tons of Ganga worth Rs 3.45 crore in the illegal market was confiscated on Monday from a truck on Hingoli Raisud Road in Washim district of Maharashtra state. Initial investigation revealed that the contraband was being transported from Andhra Pradesh to other states, Police Chief Washim Bachchan Singh told PTI. “The drugs were stored under poultry feed in the truck. Four people have been arrested in this regard and Raisud police are conducting further investigations,” Singh added.
