NCSC calls for crackdown, BJP condemns ‘anarchists’
Meanwhile, the National Commission for Social Castes has asked Haryana Police to take strict action against those behind the murder of the victim. The head of the National Criminal Police Commission, Vijay Sampla, also requested a preliminary report from Haryana Police within 24 hours. Sampla said the man who was identified as Lakhbir Singh belonged to the Scheduled Caste community.
Denouncing the violence, Sambla said the National Security Center had requested a preliminary report from Haryana police within 24 hours. He also asked the Haryana police to take strict measures in the incident.
The BJP also criticized the farmers’ leaders over the incident, saying that the “anarchists” behind these protests need to be exposed as they are doing great harm to the nation.
Confronting farmers union leader Rakesh Teket and political activist Yogendra Yadav, BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya said in a tweet that Teket did not justify the killing of the mob in Lakhimpur, where Yadav was sitting next to him, observing hypocritical silence, “Youth on the border of Kundali Ma It was to happen. The anarchists behind these protests should be exposed in the name of the farmers.”
Strongly condemning the incident, BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said it was a horrific murder. And this is not the job of farmers, who will sacrifice their lives for other citizens.
