Home Minister Amit Shah will arrive in Saharanpur by helicopter around 12:55 pm where he will address a gathering on the occasion.

Federal Home Minister Amit Shah, along with Prime Minister Yogi Adityanath, will lay the foundation stone for Mahakhumbari State University in Saharanpur on Thursday. The state university will be built on 50.43 acres at a cost of around Rs 400 crore of which the first batch of Rs 92 crore has been issued.

The Home Minister will arrive in Saharanpur by helicopter around 12:55 pm where he will address a gathering on the occasion. Besides UP CM, Deputy CM Dinesh Sharma will also attend on the occasion where preparations have been made to accommodate about 1 lakh. Ample security arrangements have been made for the occasion.

The initiative by the BJP comes months before the crucial 2022 Uttar Pradesh state assembly elections amid farmers’ protests. The Federal Home Secretary tweeted late Wednesday night that it will be an important day tomorrow. “It is an important day tomorrow in western Uttar Pradesh, I will lay the foundation stone of Makhambari University in Saharanpur. The Yogi Adityanath government acting under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working in a resolute spirit, considering education the foundation of the golden future of the state.”

Meanwhile, the Secretary General of the Congress and Responsible for the Union Priyanka Gandhi will deliver a speech at the ‘Pratgia Gathering’ in Moradabad on Thursday. The rally is scheduled to be at a location near Bodhi Vihar, where UPC President Ajay Kumar Lalu and Congress leader Imran Pratapgarhi along with other senior leaders in Congress will attend.

Priyanka Gandhi will also advise Congress workers for the upcoming 2022 General Assembly polls and is expected to arrive at the Constituency House in Moradabad at around 11am today Thursday. It has been very active in the state as the big old party is trying to regain lost political ground in the state ahead of the 2022 General Assembly elections.
