The Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the aviation regulator, has temporarily suspended SpiceJet’s license to carry ‘dangerous goods’ due to the alleged violations, according to the sources. The suspension is for 30 days, the sources said, during which time SpiceJet will not be allowed to transport dangerous goods, including lithium-ion batteries, on its domestic and international flights.
