Days after a 43-year-old Indian Army officer was found hanging in her official residence at the premises of the Military Intelligence Training School and Depot (MINTSD) here in Maharashtra, the police registered a case of suicide instigation against a brigadier general.
Police said the lieutenant colonel was found hanged at her official home on Wednesday with a dupatta around her neck.
“Following a complaint from her husband, we have registered an incitement to commit suicide against a fellow brigadier general. Deputy Commissioner of Police (District 5) Namrata Patel said on Sunday that further investigations are underway.
The incident surfaced on Wednesday morning when the staff went to serve tea to the female officer. Police said the deceased officer had some household issues and had filed for divorce.
