Indian Railways has announced that it will operate special trains for the festival after a large number of bookings from Delhi and Mumbai to Uttar Pradesh ahead of Diwali.

A senior officer of Indian Railways said, “A large number of people residing in Delhi and Mumbai book tickets for Uttar Pradesh during the festive season to celebrate Diwali and Shahat with their families. Due to the huge demand for trains to the northern state, the railways decided to operate special festive trains.”

The officer further said that, during the festive season, the railways will operate special ceremonial trains to provide convenience to people from Anand Vihar Station to Prayaag Raj Junction and Lokmania Tilak Terminus to Gorakhpur.

Train No. 01908 Anand Vihar Terminal – The Prayagraj Superfast Festival Special Train will start its journey from Anand Vihar Station at 09:00 AM on 7 and 8 November and will arrive at Prayagraj at 06.45 PM on the same day.

Train No. 01907 Prayagraj – Anand Vihar Special High Speed ​​​​Train Station will leave Prayagraj at 09:00 PM on 6 and 7 November and arrive at Anand Vihar Station the next day around 07:00 AM

Train No. 01907/011908 Anand Vihar Station Prayagraj Station – Anand Vihar Reserved The reserved Superfast train will stop at Aligarh, Kanpur Central and Fatehpur stations during its round trip.

Train No. 01235 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Gorakhpur Festival The special train will start its journey every Tuesday between 11 and 23 November at 04:40 pm and will reach Gorakhpur at 11:55 pm the next day Train number 01236 Gorakhpur – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Festival Special will depart The train departs from Gorakhpur at 4:15 am every Thursday between 4 and 25 November and arrives at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 12:15 pm the following day.

The Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Gorakhpur-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Festival Special Train will stop at Kalyan, Nashik Road, Bhusaval, Itarsi, Bhopal, Bina, Jhansi, Orai, Pukhrayan, Kanpur Central, Gonda and Basti stations during its journey.

Train No. 01241 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Gorakhpur Superfast Festival The special train will depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus every Friday at 01:40 PM between 5 and 26 November and arrive in Gorakhpur at 06:50 PM the following day.

Train No. 01242 Gorakhpur – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Festival The special train will leave Gorakhpur at 09:15 AM every Saturday between 6 and 27 November and will arrive at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 03:45 AM on the third day.

During its journey, the train will stop at Kalyan, Nashik Road, Posavall, Itarsi, Bhopal, Pena, Jhansi, Kanpur Central, Lucknow, Gonda and Basti stations.
