The win kept Alabama alive in the playoffs for another week. Crimson Tide’s next match is against Georgia No. 1, which made easy work for Georgia Tech at 45-0.

Other notable games from Rivalry Week included LSU’s 27-24 surprise #15 Texas A&M; Minnesota beat No. 14 Wisconsin. and North Texas 45-23 win over the previously unbeaten UTSA, seeded 22nd.
