Positive COVID-19 cases are canceling sporting events in nearly every league, including college basketball.

Teams can decide to cancel their games whenever they have so many positives that they don’t feel safe traveling or hosting a team. This week saw the highest number of cancellations during the pandemic, with cancellations piling up each day.

Most of the canceled games were scheduled for Saturday, December 18, along with others mostly on Tuesday, December 21, starting Friday afternoon, there are no cancellations after that date.

Here is a complete list of all the teams that have canceled their matches, including the ones that have been cancelled. As of now, none of these games have been rescheduled, and most, if not all, will likely not be.

Abolition of the College of Basketball

No. 4 UCLA

  • Game canceled on Wednesday, December 15th against Alabama State.
  • Canceled match on Saturday 18th December against UNC (CBS Sports Classic). UNC will now play Kentucky.

No. 15 Ohio

  • Game canceled on Saturday, December 18th against Kentucky (CBS Sports Classic). Kentucky will now play UNC.

No. 16 Seton Hall

  • Saturday 18 December’s match against Iona has been cancelled.

Pennsylvania state

  • The match was canceled on Saturday, December 18th against VCU.

Loyola Maryland

  • Match canceled on Saturday 18th December against Duke.

Syracuse

  • Saturday 18 December’s match against Lehigh has been cancelled.
  • Game canceled on Tuesday, December 21st against Cornell.

Cornell

  • The game was canceled on Tuesday, December 21 against Syracuse.

Cleveland

  • Match canceled on Saturday 18th December against Duke.
  • The match for Tuesday, December 21 against Kent State has been cancelled.

DePaul

  • Match canceled on Saturday 18th December against Northwestern.

Tolen

  • Game canceled on Tuesday, December 21 against New Orleans

Akron

  • Match canceled on Monday 20th December against Radford.
