Week 15 has been a crazy year in the NFL, and the running back situation has taken a hit like any week. It wasn’t all bad, with Chase Edmonds (ankle) and Michael Carter (ankle) expected to come out of the IR, but with guys like James Conner, Jamal Williams, Jafonte Williams, Melvin Gordon and Tony Pollard questionable on Sunday. Due to infection/COVID concerns, major starting decisions will not be easy. That’s why we’ll be here with the latest updates throughout the day to help you advance in the fantasy football playoffs.

Is James Conner playing Week 15?
Conner (ankle) missed training on Wednesday and Thursday, but after going through a limited session on Friday, coach Cliff Kingsbury said:expectConner is suing Lions.
With Chase Edmonds (ankle) back this week, Conner will be seeing fewer shots regardless of how he feels. This cuts the ceiling a bit, but with one of the best RB showdowns in fiction, Conner is still a must. If he had a relapse and was a sudden scratch, Edmonds would have a RB1 border in PPR and a hard RB2 in Standard.

Is Jamal Williams playing the fifteenth week?
Williams was placed on the precautionary/COVID list last Friday, and there have been virtually no updates on his condition since then. It’s hard to tell if he still has a chance of being acquitted in time to play against Arizona, but given that he wasn’t one of the players Detroit was activated from the Reserve/COVID roster on Saturday afternoon, it seems unlikely he’ll be available.
Williams would be a solid size-based starting option if he’s active, but if he comes out, a mix of Craig Reynolds, Godwin Igwebuike and Jermar Jefferson will split the touches in the background. Reynolds will probably lead the way as last week, but there is no particularly good or reliable gameplay in this match.

Quarterback | running backwards | broad future | narrow end | D/ST | kicker
Will Jafonte Williams play the fifteenth week?
Williams was in limited training on Friday after missing training on Thursday, and coach Vic Fangio has already said Williams will play unfettered against the Bengals.
As long as Williams is up there, he at least deserves a soft spot in the fantasy squad. This match is a lot tougher than last week’s game, and with Melvin Gordon (hand) expected to play as well, RB’s touchdowns will be split again. With that said, Williams has shown his phenomenal height in recent weeks, and it is difficult to sit down given his current hot streak.

Will Melvin Gordon play the fifteenth week?
Can Gordon (hand) limited in practice All week, but there doesn’t seem to be any real concern about his presence against Cincinnati.
Gordon comes out on top of a 111-yard, two-TD game, but this game is more difficult. When you factor in the injury and debutante Jafonte Williams, Gordon is a little anxious given the injury, but he’s still a solid resilient as long as he’s active.

Does Tony Pollard play the fifteenth week?
Pollard (foot) managed it Get limited practice Thursday and Friday and the numbers will be a real game-time decision for Sunday’s game against the Giants.
Even if Bullard is active, he may see fewer touches than usual. His big-play potential is still there, particularly in a favorable match, but he’s more flexible from the “boom or collapse” option than from the relatively high floor option. If he goes out, Corey Clement would be a change of pace for Ezekiel Elliott, but he doesn’t deserve a starting point in all but the deepest tournaments.
