Universal Champion Roman Reigns has opened up about what’s next for him in WWE as he continues his path of destruction in a SmackDown match.
The Tribal Chief had successfully defended his title against Edge, Daniel Bryan, Finn Balor and John Cena and wasn’t ready to drop it yet. His next assignment will be in WWE Crown Jewel, where he will face Brock Lesnar for the coveted prize.
During an interview with compoundRoman Reigns was asked about his future plans in WWE and revealed his desire to continue competing at a high level.
“I think we’re in the middle of what we’re trying to do right now,” said Rains. “So, in the end, I’m focused on finishing what we’re doing during this tour, wherever that takes hold. It could be a year from now. It could be five years from now. I’m not exactly sure what that timeframe is for the dictation. But I think for Me to keep competing at the highest level, performing at the highest level, capturing at the highest level. From there, you have to start analyzing yourself and where you are mentally and physically and how emotionally connected you are with what you do.”
Roman Reigns on the possibility of moving from professional wrestling
Prior to pursuing a career in the wrestling industry, Roman Reigns was an American football player. After he retires from wrestling, it is possible that he will follow in the footsteps of his cousin, The Rock, and move on to acting.
Reigns commented on the matter by saying:
Roman Reigns said, “If there’s a way to transition to different kinds of entertainment, which everyone obviously likes ‘movies’, that’s the only form.” “And that would be great. It would be so much fun to think of a great experience, to learn this aspect of it, but there are so many different things you can do to entertain and connect with your fans and people around the world. So there are so many avenues to explore. I think the sky is the limit.” Really. It’s all I want to do, narrow that focus, and get somewhat tunnel vision on that goal at hand. I think I’ll be fine.”
Roman Reigns is the biggest star in wrestling right now, and he would undoubtedly be a Hollywood star too if he chose to go down that path.
But for now, it appears The Tribal Chief is focused on retaining the world champion and making SmackDown the island of convenience.
