Yorkshire is hiring new staff to help develop an ‘inclusive and welcoming culture that learns from the past’
Yorkshire has called for requests for a head coach and six non-executive director positions to help the county navigate the “most challenging period” in its history.
The club was widely criticized for its handling of allegations of racism and harassment by Azim Rafik during his two spells at Headingley as a player.
That prompted a sweeping staff overhaul in the county with Chairman Roger Houghton and CEO Mark Arthur stepping down last month before firing 16 members of the coaching and medical staff at the start of December, including first-team coach Andrew Gill and club manager. Cricket Martin Moxon. Darren Goff, former bowler of the White Rose, took over the last round, tentatively on a provisional basis for the 2022 season.
Friday’s announcement confirmed that Yorkshire is conducting an “open call for applications to both its head coach and a number of non-executive positions on its board”.
