After years of breakthroughs in fundamental and foundational technologies, Huawei has now brought the very first deterministic Internet Protocol (IP) network to market, minimizing network uncertainties. Through IP traffic and system engineering, jitter is slashed to just 30 µs, with single hop latency also at the microsecond level.
More importantly, by using an innovative label-based scheduling and adaptive cycle label mapping algorithm, Huawei is capable of building large-scale deterministic networks with on-campus switches, such as CloudEngine S6730, at the edge level, combined with the NetEngine 8000 router , offering a wide range of service deployment. This is critical for the manufacturing, transportation, and oil and gas industries, where a network needs to connect multiple physical locations, with services requiring assured network bandwidth and latency.
The Industry’s Best Performing IP Network Solution for Cross-Regional Computing Resource Scheduling
When it comes to the data center network, Huawei’s CloudEngine 16800 V3 Data Center Network (DCN) will arrive in 2022, including the innovative iLossless algorithm and new breakthroughs in IP-based scheduling. With these capabilities, the solution achieves zero packet loss, three times bigger server network scale, and also improves transmission efficiency by 30%.
This will bring big benefits to a range of industries, including the Financial Services Industry (FSI), Over The Top (OTT), manufacturing, oil and gas, advanced research institutes, national computing networks, and more, all of which require cross- regional computing resource scheduling.
Huawei OptiXsense: Accelerating Pipeline Inspection

The Huawei OptiXsense Solution is able to measure the vibration of a laser, sensing the environmental changes of any monitored object, significantly reducing the rate of false alarms that legacy solutions suffer, and accurately identifying the root cause of any issue.
This has been made possible through resolving the bottleneck of optical data collection with enhanced optical Digital Signal Processing (oDSP) modules. Huawei has also created a vibration ripple analysis engine that learns the patterns of vibrations through AI, greatly improving accuracy.
This solution helps manage long distance oil and gas pipelines as well as railway transportation infrastructure and other use cases, such as water monitoring.
H-OTN: Leading a Revolution in Secure Production Networks
In the energy industry, power grid digitalization is playing a big part in the move toward carbon neutrality. Of course, any power grid must have a 100% reliable network. Traditionally, Optical Transmission Networks (OTNs) are used to provide reliable communications for power transmission but they have yet to be used for distribution and E2E reliability.
Huawei’s Hybrid-Optical Transmission Network (H-OTN) — the industry’s first converged optical device that supports hard pipe technologies — introduces innovative Point-to-Multipoint (P2MP) OTN architecture to access networks.
Indeed, for the first time, Huawei has enabled an E2E hard pipe, from the access network to the Wide Area Network (WAN), using a redefined product architecture and converged protocols. This not only guarantees 100% security, but also reduces latency — by at least 60%.
